Day 262. I used to teach people a "quick and dirty" way to add header images to a Google Site. I've since decided that there is a better way to do it... it's fiddlier but it does give a better result. I rejigged a bunch of my notes for my Summit website, and replaced the video tutorial with this one I made.

186 - Summit Stuff
Day 186. I present workshops at quite a few Google Summit events and I always try to make sure I provide my workshop participants with a useful collection of resources and links afterwards so they can refer back to them later. I started a Google Site quite a while ago for this purpose, and it's continued to grow over time into quite a good resource for Google related stuff.
With a couple of Summits coming up soon I'm doing some brand new workshops so I have been adding more content to the site and generally sprucing it up a little. There is still more to add, but I'm claiming the update so far as today's daily create.
You can check out the actual site at www.summitstuff.com

139 - More Maui
Day 139. Following on form yesterday's post, today's create is the actual website we've put together for our wedding plans. As you can see, we didn't actually use any of the designs I came up with, and opted for something much simpler instead. You can find the actual site at www.marriedinmaui.info.
I have to say how impressed I am with Google Sites as a website creation tool. It's a little clunky and it doesn't do everything ideally but it's pretty darn good. Once you learn to wrangle the CSS settings in the Colors, Themes and Fonts section, you can do an awful lot of customising of it!
