110 - Sweet Apple Pie

Day 110. Today's create is this delicious looking apple pie. No following a recipe today, just following my nose, so to speak. Apples, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves. This is my first attempt as a lattice crust, had to look on YouTube to see how to do that.  These two shots are before and after going into the oven. Looks pretty yummy to me!

045 - Valentine Dinner

Day 45. Valentines Day today and my daily create was that I made dinner for Linda and I. We had an appetiser of baked mushrooms stuffed with white beans, coriander and onions. Followed by a main of BBQed pork tenderloin and cherry salsa. Never made these before, but they were pretty good.

 

025 - An Edible Creation

Day 25. I try to share the cooking in our house, so I hadn't really planned to include the preparation of meals as a daily create project, but then I thought why not, at least occasionally? Cooking a meal can be creative pursuit as well, surely.  So even though I had a recipe, I did make a few on-the-fly changes to it, so I'm happy to count this as a creative thing. :-)

I must admit that I do enjoy the creativity involved in making a meal... the chopping, mixing, tasting, cooking, etc. Oh, and it was rather delicious too!

What do you think, is it ok to count cooking as the occasional daily create?
