263 - Made with Neon

Day 263. This odd shape was created using the iOS app Forge of Neon. It's a strange app that draws symmetrical, radial 3D shapes out of stray lines. Odd but captivating.

260 - Forgeries

Day 260. This pattern was made by first modelling a 3D shape using an app called Forge of Neon, which is pretty interesting in its own right. But then I took the 3D shape into MegaPhoto+ and passed it through the kaleidoscope filter to mirror it and split it up, then applied another couple of filters to explore a number of different effects. I liked the diversity of them so I used Diptic to create this grid of my four favourites.ts fascinating that these were all created from the same original 3D image.

219 - Brush with Interest

Day 219. I'm fascinated with the online drawing tool YouiDraw Painter. It's a drawing tool that runs in the browser and I think it has some really interesting brush types. It's obvious that it can't do a really accurate copy of an analog brush/pencil, but it applies maths in a very interesting way to give some quite curious effects. In this example i just spent some time exploring the various brush types and seeing the types of lines it can create.

193 - Lined Up

Day 193. I actually have no idea what this is all about. I just started playing with a new iPad app called Adobe Line, which appears to be a companion app to the Adobe Sketch I was using recently. Whereas Sketch encourages you to draw like an artist, Line is more technical drafting focused, with straight lines and geometric shapes placed on a set of vanishing points. I was just messing about and this drawing is really nothing but it was just a first exploration with the tool. More later I suspect...
