Day 223. Politicians should never be allowed to make any decisions about the Internet. Ever. Some of the stupidest, most idiotic, misguided comments I've ever heard about the Internet come out of the mouths of the people who are supposed to be making intelligent decisions on our behalf. This track is a collection of quotes made by George Brandis, an Australian Liberal Senator and the current Australian Attorney General. And apparently a complete moron when it comes to the Internet.
If it were not for the fact that these people are actually running the country, it would be funny. But it's scary and pathetic.

210 - The Response You Deserve
Day 210. I don't have a lot for respect for our current Prime Minister, Tony Abbott. It seems that every time he opens his mouth it's just to take one foot out of it so he can put the other one in, usually embarrassing both himself and Australia in the process. The most laughable response I've seen him give was when he was asked a question about a comment he made on our troops in Afghanistan, and he responded with 28 seconds of dumbfounded silence. He both avoided the question and came up with an even stupider response. He's such a muppet!
So much of a muppet, in fact, that I was compelling to make this short video using the soundtrack from his press interview, and everyone's favourite muppets Bert and Ernie
You can watch the real interview here. It's pretty sad when a country's Prime Minister sounds dumber than a puppet. But then I guess they both have a hand up their back making them do things.

013 - Remixing Chris Pyne
Day 13. Our new Education minister, Christopher Pyne, is not impressing me. So today's Create turns a recent radio interview he did on the ABC into a musical remix. To make this, I used Audio Hijack Pro to grab the audio from this interview, then I extracted individual sound bites from the audio track using Audacity, then remixed them using GarageBand. I chopped and remixed his original words, then added some bass and drums to turn it into what you hear here.
In case you can't tell, I'm not a fan of the changes that Pyne is proposing, and I think he is somewhat of a fool who should keep his party politics out of education.
If you'd like to have a crack at remixing this yourself, feel free to do so. I can even send you the original sound bites if you want them.
