285 - The Things We Do

Day 285. Today's create is an image made from a very cool photo of my buddy Adrian Greig, a teacher from Queensland. He got dressed up in this silliness on the request of his students, who described a "getting dressed" procedure that he dutifully followed. The things we do as teachers to make our kids happy eh?  I removed the background from the original image using Photoshop Mix (great for this kind of thing) then tweaked it a little in Photoshop Touch, then passed it through the Waterlogue app to give it this interesting watercolour look.

275 - Pop goes the Canadian

Day 275. A bit of app smashing today. I took a photo of Linda today on the plane coming home from Adelaide, then passed it through the Graffiti Art app, then through about three different filters in MegaPhoto+, to get this final result.

259 - Selfie Style

Day 259. I was in an iPad art workshop today with the yoda of iPad Art herself, Cathy Hunt. Cathy had a ton of interesting ideas as always, and really got me thinking about the notion of iPad workflow, or app smashing, or just applying effects in multiple layers. We had a go of making a selfie, so this one was taken with the camera, drawn and traced using Type Drawing, then had several effects put on it using Megaphoto+.

174 - Facing Off

Day 174. I quite liked the faces I made for yesterday's create so I chose one and kept app smashing it through other apps. Starting with a identikit face made in FlashFace and then coloured with Warhol:DIY, I then opened it in Repix and applied a series of filters and effects to it, then brought it into Adobe Photoshop Touch to tweak the colours and textures a little more. App smashing, or passing an artefact through a series of apps can come up with some interesting results.
